Gloucestershire County Council
Challenge - what was the primary challenge or set of challenges facing the client? What was the business case for change?
With up to 30,000 households and numerous community groups in Gloucester and Churchdown and ahead of a time of significant highway works, Gloucestershire County Council identified a need to provide excellent and timely travel choice information for local residents.
Personalised Travel Planning is aimed on a practical level at informing travellers and minimising any disruption, but also provides an opportunity to offer advice on public transport promotions as well as the alternative and sustainable mode choices available to residents.
What special value do Go Travel Solutions bring?
Together with other project consortium members, Go Travel Solutions demonstrated a unique and innovative approach to Personalised Travel Planning.
The experience and expertise offered by the consortium meant that the project was confidently and effectively able to promote sustainable transport modes other than the single occupancy private car.
