The establishment and development of an independent business travel network for Leicester employers. Promotion of sustainable modes to employees of member businesses and delivering best practice for travel planning and transport sustainability through the membership.
What special value did Go Travel Solutions bring?
The network was created through the initiative and skills of Go Travel Solutions. A package of travel discounts was secured to help generate an employer membership of 50, representing 50,000 members of staff. Strategic relationships have been established with the local authority, enabling collaborations to be created between the local authority and major employers.

The initiative was driven by Go Travel Solutions from the outset to reflect its commitment to sustainable travel and desire to develop tools to help make sustainable travel for workplaces a preferred option, not the last option.
To date there are 50 employer members representing 50,000 staff based in and around Leicester. Since the original scheme was launched in 2009, there have been 10,000 discounted season tickets sold through the scheme. The discounts have been generated through the work of Go Travel Solutions. A major success has been the development of a travel planners group between major employers with more recent engagement with Leicester City Council.
