Go Travel Solutions celebrates commitment to UK Living Wage
Go Travel Solutions has now been accredited as a Living Wage Employer.
Our Living Wage commitment ensures everyone working at Go Travel Solutions receives a minimum hourly wage of £9.00. This is significantly higher than the current government minimum for over 25s, which currently stands at £8.21 an hour. For under 25s, the government minimum wage can be as low as £4.35.
Joining 4,700 other responsible employers such as Oxfam, KPMG and IKEA, Go Travel Solutions have committed to go further than the government minimum to ensure all our staff have enough to live on. This aligns with the aims and visions of the company, as we hope to benefit our staff and in turn, the wider community and planet.
Robin Pointon, Managing Director said “The Living Wage Movement has put an extra £800m into the pockets of workers, and we are delighted to be a part of that. Go Travel Solutions has always been about enhancing the social and economic wellbeing of both the community and our staff and committing to the Living Wage demonstrates exactly that.”
Farhaan Patel, the Marketing and Administration Co-ordinator and newest member of the Go Travel Solutions team said: “Hearing the news that Go Travel Solutions is a Living Wage Employer was brilliant, as someone who is under 25. I feel valued as an employee and feel good knowing that I am working for a responsible company.”
